I’ve been running my own firm since 2003. My experiences of setting up as a sole practitioner, running Purdys Solicitors and as Chairman and former Committee Member of the Sole Practitioners Group (SPG) and as co-founder of Hexagon Legal Network have led me to firmly believe that running your own Law Firm, big or small, can be one of the most enjoyable and varied roles.
Meeting many like-minded professionals at Conferences, Law Society Leadership Summits and at events such as LegalEx have provided useful networking contacts, friendships and plenty of inspiration.
You can find out more information about my legal career from the My Legal Life interview in the Law Society Gazette in November 2018 – https://www.lawgazette.co.uk/my-legal-life/my-legal-life-karen-purdy/5068169.article
With some guidance, you can also avoid some of the pitfalls of setting up and running your own firm, so I hope that this and the Running a Law Firm LinkedIn forum will be a helpful resource for you!
